The Jr. Retro rollerball features a finish of rhodium. The body of the pen is crafted with Thuya burl. This burl wood is an exotic wood the Greeks named thuya, meaning sacrifice  because they used an oil distilled from it as incense in their religious ceremonies.

This burl wood is known as a wood that can be finished to to an extremely high luster.
Writting with this pen is smooth and consistent,  do in large part to the upgraded Schmidt refill.
